Through its partnership with Unmanned Aircraft Solutions NZ, Flight Test NZ and Drone Trust are now able to offer drone airworthiness inspections and approvals in accordance with CAA Rules Part 101.202.  (4), (5) & (6).

UAS NZs’ Chief Engineer Bevan Lewell is one of just two individuals in New Zealand approved by the CAA to certify the construction, modification and operation of drones with a maximum all up weight in excess of 15kg.   Any drone that is greater than 15kg must be checked and approved.

Through his extensive experience as a manned licensed avionics engineer, airline pilot, and drone flight examiner Bevan is able to bring a huge wealth of knowledge and experience to this new role.
